First and third grade students celebrated the 100th day of school earlier this month as they enjoyed activities and dressing up to mark this annual milestone of the school year!
First grade celebrated being 100 days smarter as they rotated through stations where they wrote to 100, counted 100 objects, wrote
about being 100 years old, and made necklaces from 100 fruit loops. It is
amazing to see how much they've grown and all that they've learned during 100 days
of first grade!
The 100th day was fantastic in third grade! Aside from several dressed-up 100 year old third graders and teachers alike, students completed 100 multiplication facts, found out where 100 steps would take them around the school and completed a fantastic writing assignment portraying what life would be like as a centenarian. Students reflected on their one hundred years and also looked towards the future! In the words of one student, "My life over the last one-hundred years has been wonderful. My great-great grandchildren still visit and want to have a dance party. I may be old, but I can still bust a move!"
